NAMI Basics Classes
A Grateful and Enlightened Parent Writes:
As a single mother who is working two jobs to make sure my children get their needs met,I never thought about when my son acts out, he was showing signs of a mental illness. I thought it was rebellion.
When I attended the class with Dr. Bob and Mary, that is when I actually started learning about mental illness. And I have been learning ever since that first day in class. Thank goodness NAMI was in existence and someone told me about it. Without it, I would still be thinking my son was just “acting out”.
